  • SMILE, It's a brand new day!

Lloyd had told me there was someone on the river giving w/c lessons. Everybody said I should go, some said I was a 'bit above' that .... can you believe that?!  :heeha: I went, and I felt like I  was in kindergarten class! Perfect!!  >:D (There was a stand-in teacher last week, so I'll have to go back today to hopefully meet the teacher.)

Anyway, it was a bit like paint-by-numbers in a somewhat abstract format. I decided I didn't like that so I painted mine in a more regular fashion. One of the other students came to our boat. Lloyd showed her some of my work and she declared, "Val, you should be teaching this class!"       :2funny: Thankyou Dennis!  :-*

I best be careful....already in trouble for talking during class ...  :-X ...I mean me? Can you believe it?

Thanks Jani, I didn't quite get finished with it. This was my first attempt at glass. I'll probably muck about with it a bit more. They just announced on the net there is another class this morning!  :heeha: Will have to go and see what trouble I can get into today!  :stress:

Love the painting, Val!   :smitten:

Show that teacher what you're made of now that you've let Dennis tenderly hone your watercolor talents.

Enjoy the class today!   :yippee:

Lovely!!!  Gee, young lady, that is awesome. I'm glad you didn't do it in abstract...it tells such a great story. I really like this one, and........what time is class next week, teach? LOLOL  Good for you.

 Aw thanks guys...you sure know how to make someone feel special.

I was asked to explain today how to blur your vision to see shadows. The class was suitably impressed and thought it was quite cool. I think I may have been tested and I'm pretty sure I passed.  ;D
Did a couple of funky exercises to music, and then did a painting of Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, a fort up the river by Lac Izabel. I'll post them when the classes are through.

The student who saw my paintings told the owner of the bar/restaurant, where the class is held, that we needed space to display my paintings along with the class paintings. She replied in the affirmative saying, "Sure we have space, I'll take the flags down. I have pushpins."  Pushpins? Stuck in my paintings?   :faint:    :run: :2funny:

Very well done Val!  I hope you enjoy these classes.  I think there is always something to learn and take away from different teachers.  Like the bottle!

Nice painting, I don't know to much about water colour but I like the painting and your stories are great to read.
