I'd say my lotus flower is done. I can't believe myself...i had it perfect, and got it out today..all it takes is that one adjustment..
It finally ok again i hope.
Example of what i do endlessly,    you know those tiny little reflections in water using a palette knife? i used a brush but just saying. I took one out put one in smoothed it, took it out, forever an hour doing just THAT.
And i feel so guilty of how i'm painting because it's like the tiniest little thing ..i'm deciding do i want THAT or don't i? I can't just paint regularly. It's nuts and bolts painting.
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.
