I'm all ready to go! 

I bought a new masking fluid - "Pebeo Gum" (pronounced pee-bee-oh) and it works swell!  It is a light gray, so you can see it, does NOT stain, doesn't smell funny and peels off like skin off a sunburn - one big piece!  I should have gotten this before.

Yes, Mea, you should be able to mask in all the pebbles and have them dry by the time class starts. It only takes about 10 minutes for the masking fluid to dry on its own, but you can even speed up that time by using a hair dryer. No problems, no worries!! 

Alice, after your post about your new masking fluid, I had a flashback of a terrible sunburn I received when I was 12 years old after falling asleep on the beach.  What a nasty sunburn I had!  My skin peeled off like an onion skin--or just like your new masking fluid!!

Excellent job Jenny!  I have a long way to go...my stones, unlike yours, are sitting in the middle of a pumpkin pie! You just can't see the crust.

I thought this paint along would be a good opportunity to use a color from Daniel Smith called Burnt Bronzite Genuine...I didn't know when I bought the paint it would have a sparkle to it.  I guess it has just enough sparkle for the colors not to pick up in the photo...ah well-live and learn.
