 :thankyou: mea
:thankyou: May Lynn, yeah there's lots of colours to choose from. They've been selectively bred over time. If you can believe it the original wild fish are a pretty plain if not ugly looking fish with a lot shorter fins that the ones we have today. They are a sort of greeny brown colour!
 :thankyou: Natalie
 :thankyou: Didwaud
:thankyou: Val, I already have some thoughts for more like this. In my big tank I have Clown Loaches which make a bright subject, and Kissing Gouramies - that would make for an interesting one, also have another idea too... Need a job to keep the canvasses coming though.
Wonder if I should be reporting it to Centrelink (our govt welfare department) as unpaid work... :2funny:
 :thankyou: Bhavna
And of course  :thankyou: all who have wished me well on the job front.
I will have the chance to achieve perfection, when and only when I can remember the future.

Just took a peek here and the pink and black painting caught my eye!  I really like that it sure looks to me like someone enjoying a twisty yogurt cone on a hot summer day!  :) O0

:thankyou: liz. It's actually a really, really deep green background. And yeah, I named it that way because it turned out like an ice cream, but it's based on a couple of flowers.

 :thankyou: Nolan,

And thanks for the best wishes on the interview front - fingers crossed, I might be able to afford to start buying lessons again, albeit at the post live price. And the little bit of positive news got me into the frame of mind where looking at the canvas didn't make me think "do I have to?" The longer it's been dragging on the worse it has been getting.

:thankyou: Sharon. If you can believe it, I painted only the darkest shades of the background about six weeks ago and it just sat on the easel until this week - every time I looked at it I just thought - nah, maybe tomorrow. I got the interview and it kind of gave me a burst of energy and I did the rest.

Well everyone, here is my latest in The Nature Series. #57 - Five on Green. It is of course an Acrylics and it is done on a 508x762mm Stretched Canvas. With no job, running out of my stretched canvases... :'(

That's one of the reasons these have dropped off a lot.

And fingers, toes and any other parts crossed, as I have a job interview on Monday morning at 8:30am!!!

Let me know what you think.
