I think I fell of the bus with this one but as usual I enjoyed it very much, thanks again Dennis for a brilliant class.

You and I have similar issues. On our paintings we need to reduce the urge to go dark to soon. The first run through needs to be much lighter than we think it should be. The second and subsequent washes can take the values darker until everything looks right. I think we have an issue with water control too because the bleed greys out the bright colors and reduces detail. Reduce the urge to paint wet into "super wet" when the lesson does not require it so that the details don't flow into each other after you lay the color down. Sometimes I do not dry the paper like Dennis does with a hair dryer and then my details blur out as the color bleeds for the next hour on the damp paper. The trees and bushes were just painted with an over abundance of water is all.

Thanks Dennis, when I read Bryce's comment I realised that that is my problem. Thanks Bryce.

Wow, Robynann, you really took on a challenge and came through with flying colors.
Yes, watercolor does take some getting used to. I still try to paint them as if I were using oils!
