Hey Ray3

Nice job on the owl.  The eyes and feet are especially good.  I have a tough time with bird feet, but yours look really good.

Isn't it fun to try a new medium??

Ok, Ray.  I will give bird feet another shot.

So far, I have been trying to take everyone's advice so I can learn.

Hey, Patricia, if you are out there, I took your advice and have started drawing every day, like you suggested.  I can see a huge difference already.  I bought a cute pouch to keep in my purse - so have pencils and sketch pad with me all the time now.

Hmmm.. I will post some of my earliest sketches with ones I am doing now.

:thankyou: Doina it can be disastrous I too have had my disasters but I have found  it's a lot like watercolour painting and graphite you have to use light to dark and then using a burnishing pencil to get the results you want

   Seems my comment has run amok!  :detective:   Probably hit a wrong symbol on the tablet yesterday.

So, Ray.... here's what I think or thought yesterday...  ::)   You've done a lovely job on this little fellow. I've always thought these guys look so sad...perhaps just pensive. Anyway, the soft colours suit him well, and he is very well drawn.  O0
Cheers, Val

I have just read these posts again and Mea, my apologies for I missed your post about drawing every day.  Good for you. Wish I could do the same but life is so busy for this old girl and of course, I am slowing down which makes it worse!!!  I always say I need to take a time management course.  Anyway, good to hear you are taking a sketch book with you wherever you go.  Wonderful for as Dennis always tells us, practice makes perfect.
