Mea--Thanks for the wonderful cloud recipe. I probably need to start with Dennis' lesson on clouds which I haven't done. I avoid landscapes like the plague (if you haven't noticed) as I feel totally inept there.

Lynne!
Inept? You must be dreaming! Take a look in that sketchbook of yours.
Then come back and talk to me.

Mea, Looking forward to seeing your seascape when it is finished. I am sure the clouds are just great as only you can do them! Patricia

Tried to enlarge the bottom of the light tree. Couldn't duplicate what Ihad done originally so now I have a very green and yellow tree. Oh well back to the drawing board!

Jill, just remember it is all practice... and look how well you managed so many greens.

Jill h,
Nice job on the greens landscape.
All the pieces in your painting are so distinct. To use Val's favorite expression, the ones in my painting were all "mishmash."
Love how the sky is darker at the right, then becomes a lighter blue. Nice!

Nice painting, Jill
However, the right side slope in in full sunlight, so lift out some colour and make it more light yellow-green. At the moment the right slope is the same tone as the left slope.

Thank you to everyone for your your nice comments. Mea, I'm sitting here chuckling! I would love to say that I planned the sky that way, fortunately it was a lovely accident. And Dennis thank you for you critic.. I will certainly do as you say, I see what you mean.

My paint-a-long that was messed up by having to run out in the middle of the class then coming back and having to rush off right at the end of class.

After dragging this to Yosemite with me and staring at the unfinished paint-a-long for about 2 weeks, I finally got up the courage to tackle it.
