There are two ways to add a photo to your post :
A) The easiest way is to simply hit the "Upload Attachment" tab and upload your picture when posting. You will find this tab just below the submit button when posting.
When using this method it is important that you resize you photo first so it fits into the page.
The best size is max 600 pixels wide, (or resize to the size you want them to appear in the post)
To resize your photo you can use a program like Photoshop or a free online resize program like
PicResizeTo add a photo to the post:The second method is to link to a picture hosted on another site :1) The first thing you need to do is get yourself a free account at one of the websites that allow you to create yourself a "gallery" to store your pictures, eg
http://www.flickr.com or
http://www.photobucket.com. You then upload your photo to there and link directly to it in your post at the place where you want it to show using the Insert Image button
The gallery normally lets you resize your image when you upload it. You want the image you post on the forum to be around 600 pixels wide or less. Once you have uploaded your photo, go and view it. At the top of your browser you will then see a web address, something like "http://media.photobucket.com/image/blahblah.jpg?o=8" copy this address.<br /><br />3) In your post on the forum, when you click on the Insert Image button it adds two img tags with box brackets around them like this [code][img])
[/code]. You then paste the weblink you copied in step 2 in between these two tags. It will then look like this :
[img]http://media.photobucket.com/image/blahblah.jpg?o=8[/img]
When you have posted the message you image will appear exactly where you have inserted it, even mid sentence.
A good habit to get into when posting pictures is to "Preview" your post to ensure your picture has linked correctly.
The most common errors found when lining to pictures are:
1) Wrong link and
2) Your gallery is not set to "Public" viewing
