LYNN is this an April Fool's Day joke???? Your painting is absolutely fantastic!! You knocked my
socks right off my feet. All kidding aside, you really did a very nice job. How big is your painting?

Lynn you threw the gaunlet down with that painting! That's wonderful if you made any mistakes they certainly don't affect the painting any.
Well done.

C

Have a fabulous trip and a safe one.

I'm sure you'll have lots of photos to turn into great paintings.

Brilliant work Lynn.  :clap: :clap: :clap:

As Lynn has submitted her painting based on the photograph, it is only fair to keep the challenge based on the photograph as is.

Cheers, Val

Dear Lynn p;
Pen and Ink + watercolor is one of my all time favorites mix media forms of art .  You have done a superb job.   If you love pen and ink as I do you must take a gander at Claudia Nice's work, she is a true expert in this field.
She has written many books and give workshops and demo all over the world.  I first started following her
by taking one or two books out of the library, and then I had to have them in my art collection.
You hit a 'Hommmme' run here.   :painting:

Herewith is my submission for the October challenge.  It is nice from far but far from nice!!!  With advanced age, my hand is not very steady for the intricate straight lines, so before I posted it, I thought I would try and go over some of the squiggly, wiggly lines with black watercoloured pencil but eventually gave it up as a bad job.  My advice to all the others doing the challenge is to use pen and ink as Lynnp did or perhaps watercolour pencils but in the early stages before starting to paint.  I used watercolour paints, together with black watercoloured pencil here and there.  Your comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Patricia
