This was a beautiful tree and I'm glad I got in on the paint-a-long.  Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and I put my final up with my original.

This is the one where my printer only gave me 1/2 the template!

Really messed it up, but decided to see if I could rescue this grand old tree. So...here it is.......

Val, this is exactly what the trees are starting to look like at the  moment. In a week or two most will be in full bloom - magnificent sight

Have been very busy and on top of that the lessons have been just pouring in like a flood over me. Will try to answer some next week.  Have been taking a peek and am very impressed   :yippee: :flowers:

I have been looking at photos of these trees on the net....magnificent barely describes them. What a wonder it must be to see numbers of these grouped together. Perhaps one day I shall have the chance to see one.  :cloud9:

Now that I have managed to print the full template, I shall have another go at this.

    Wow, Val what a gorgeous painting.  When looking at it, a get a sense of peace and 'softness'.  It is very restful to the eye. Your rocks are very nicely done too and the trees so pretty.  Wonderful job.  Patricia

Love the color and the 'expression' of the tree. Awesome...Really looking forward to your whole painting.  Good job, Val, and off to a great start.

:thankyou: Patricia. I got off to such a false start for the paintalong, what with missing half the template! Can't believe I missed that!    It was a bit rushed, but none the less I finally got the gumption to pull it out and see what could be done. It's far from properly finished but good enough for now. I learned a good few things from this so it wasn't a waste. Actually looking forward to getting on with the next one!

 My tree has expression? Very cool, (ahem) comes from tramping many miles through rain forest and jungle communing with the treefolk.

;D Thank you much Bella, I'm really going to enjoy this next one.  O0

You talk to the trees 8)  but it's  a shame that they don't listen to you. You had better knock on wood :knuppel2:
