Nolan and Val,
I was curious about threads like this one.  When a topic is no longer relevant, like the question was answered for that particular person (me), should it or could it be erased like how I clean up old emails?  I know only the person who started the topic or administrator can remove it, right?  Should I even be asking this question?  Thanks.

:thankyou:  Retta for your lovely comments and I am so very pleased that you are enjoying the course as much as I am.  I am SO EXCITED about it that I can hardly contain myself.  Looking forward to seeing everyone's drawing and there is no time limit which is so nice.

Oh! Liz, I agree with you whole heartedly, the Paint Basket is the best thing that has happened in my life for years and as you say, you can return at any time and find all your friends from around the world ready to help and encourage you.  Yes, I am sorry that I started so late in life but circumstances didn't allow me any time for myself but as they say, you are never too old to learn.  I tend to agree but it does take a little longer to absorb and retain things.   :2funny:  Anyway, it is wonderful that you have the support and backing of your husband which does make life easier.  Thanks once again for your encouragement.

:thankyou:   Sweet Denise. With all the lovely comments I have had, the tears are welling up in my eyes and I feel rather emotional but as Lynn said in one of her posts, it would seem that I had an "aha" moment and all I can say is that when I viewed just the first few segments of Nolan's course, I felt as though my spirit within me jumped and I knew that this course was for me. The way Nolan has conducted the lessons fits my needs perfectly and I would recommend this course to anyone and everyone for he teaches you right from the bare basics.  By taking this course, you will progress and do so well that you will even shock yourself. Can't wait for the next lessons.

Wow, amazing job Patricia :congrats:

I have only one place where I feel you can fiddle - use your kneadable eraser to soften the lines on the tongue.  Small change, so well done O0

Only me and Dennis can remove a topic. The problem is that for us to try and keep track of what is not relevant anymore is an impossible task because we will never know unless we are told that the problem has been solved, etc. The only thing I can suggest is if your post is one that has become irrelevant and will not benefit from staying available on the forum, you can add a post to it saying something like "thank you please delete thread"

O.K. THANKS, NOLAN!

It's good to know what to do in the future, anyway!  I mean, removing a thread, and not a TOPIC.  Do you remember some time ago, there was a gal who had a grievance and soon afterwards every trace of her being on the forum 'disappeared'.  I guess then that she must have removed all of her threads.

You are a GOOD AND PATIENT man, Nolan, and would you know that this my 3rd Christmas that you've put up with me!

Wow, Lady P, you have done a super job on little doggie #1 !! :twothumbs: :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:
You have now set the bar to new heights. . . .I 'm not sure I'm up to leaping such a distance, but I'm going to try!! I have been listening to Nolan and I have my little Doggie sketched out but so far that is the extend of my actual pencil work! Hopefully today will allow me to put pencil to paper.
Where are Sarah and Jennylynn and Denise and, and, and, ??????
I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

When my husband saw it he thought it looked like a chestnut.
It takes some doing to shade from dark to light from the inside to the outside of the nostril.  He's wondering why I keep looking at his nose!  I think I should go find a dog!   :)
