 Merry Xmas from Paint Basket

It is that time of the year again when we slow down a little to enjoy some time with friends and family. It is also a time when we reflect on the year that is fast coming to an end.
I think it is safe to say that we have had a lot of fun at the Paint Basket this year.
Behind the scenes we have laughed, and panicked, when Nolan forgot to hit the broadcast button one day and poor Dennis started giving class to himself; or when Dennis was explaining one thing but there was a totally different picture up on the screen, leaving us all totally confused.
We have laughed daily at all the friendly antics on forum, but at the same time we have learnt a lot. Not just from the classes, but also from each other. We have encouraged each other everyday, living through the ups and downs of becoming better artists. It is this cameraderie that makes Paint Basket one of the best sites on the Internet for artists.

 Giving Back

As a member of the Paint Basket, you have played your part of making the site what it is today. For that we would like to thank you in the best way we know how: by giving back.
As you may know in the new year we will be offering live pencil as well as pastel classes. The first series of each of these will be free - our way of saying thank you for your support this year. So if you have never tried your hand at pencil or pastel drawing, this will be your chance to see how fun these mediums are. Look out for more info in our next newsletter.
In the meantime we would like to wish you and your family a safe and joyous festive season and a properous new year.
From Dennis, Nolan, Anna and Mel

 Last Chance

P.S - If you are still looking for any last minute Christmas presents, you will find all our products at 50% discount between now and Christmas day, including our popular new landscape and dog drawing courses.

Thank-you Dennis and Nolan for the Christmas Wishes, for the free classes, and for the opportunity to pick up some more classes at a discounted price.
I have enjoyed this year, learning  from both of you, and also from my Paintbasket classmates!  It's been fun to attend the live classes, and fun to paint during my precious alone time.  This year has been full of things that took up more of my time than I would have liked, some really good  O0 , and some not so good  .    But, I am slowing working my way through the lessons, and every one is a JOY!!  :twothumbs:
:santa:   MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you, my Paintbasket friends.  And, for those who celebrate a different holiday - HAPPY WHATEVER!   :)  I hope the Holiday Season is peaceful, joyful, and restful!  I'm looking forward to the New Year, and wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
See you all in class and on the forum as we venture into another year of learning, maybe some brand new things!   :painting:   Meanwhile, enjoy the food, fun and family times ahead!   :yippee:

All the very best of the Holiday Season to everyone here at Paint Basket. . . . wherever you are in this big wide world!
Thank you Dennis and thank you Nolan for your lovely gifts. . .I know I am going to sketch along with Nolan in the new pencil courses and this little peek at pastels may just get me into more mischief. . . oh dear, hubby is going to wonder what I'm up to now!
I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

Today it's exactly 1 year ago that I took up the brushes. It took some time before I found you, but I really have to say: that's the best thing that happened to me last year!!!

I have found artist friends and loads of lesson to become an artist myself; every morning, when I wake up, my first visit is to the paint basket forum; it has defeated my newspaper as a start of the day.

Thank you so much for al the encouragements, lessons and friendship I found over here.

I'll show up in the pencil- and pastel lessons, what a great gift  :heeha: and maybe I forgot to buy me a christmas present.

:santa: :santa: :santa:   To Dennis, Nolan, Anna, Mel, your families and all our Paint Basket family.  Wishing everyone, a blessed Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year too.  May the New Year hold everything that your hearts desire and may all your dreams come true.

Thank you Dennis and Nolan for your very generous gifts to us.  (Can't wait to start the drawing and pastel lessons.) Thank you too for your expert tuition, support, guidance and encouragement during the year which has changed my life and the lives of many of our members.  Dennis you have illustrated Henry Ford's lesson "you can, if you think you can" very clearly and that is priceless.

Looking forward to a year filled with all the fun, learning and exciting times that we enjoyed this year.

God's blessings in abundance.
