Thank you Bea Sue, Didwaud, MaryLou, Brian, scribe, Dianne, Seven, MSCrane, Mea, Lidiya, Val, Ray and Patricia :flowers:   Steven--funny about those sails.  I know nothing about boats so you and Val need to set me straight.   Never thought about the fullness of the sails, just the light :D   It isn't much of a race with this water!!
Susan--This is gray Canson paper--I like the midtone of it.  All the comments are so kind.  I have to admit though that I am finding that composition is the very toughest thing for me.  Taking someone else's composition(this is a painting exercise and I just changed the colors) and executing it seems so easy by comparison.  I am working right now on an original design, and it is a bear!!!
