Hi Ginger, well done with the adding of the photo and your drawing of the onion and garlic
I remember when I did this one and Nolan suggested I shade the back in evenly at a 45
o
and then again at 90
o
angles. It made a huge difference. If you look on page 4 of this discussion and then page 5 you will see my first post and then the touched up background if you want

Good work, Kathy. Like the cross-hatched background.
Maybe a bit more blending where the skin shadow shows on the onion.

It sure felt good to get out my pencils and draw. It's been a couple of weeks.
Nolan for another fabulous class. I really enjoyed the lesson. I feel pretty good about how this turned out but am certainly open to any suggestions for improvement!

Beautiful job, Kathy. I love it. My only criticism is "Practice, practice, practice." You get better with each drawing you do.
