This is my second attempt on Canna Flower.
When I saw Dennis' Canna on black paper, I could not resist to give it a try  :smitten:.
On the second time it was easier to paint. I followed Dennis in the beginning only,  then I painted by myself using the reference picture as a guideline.  :painting:
My real picture has more yellow colour than the copy above.

Al the best,
Lidiya. :flowers:

NOTICE:

We will be replacing the existing canna video with another re-rendered one. Unfortunately this will take some time and will possibly only be available in 24 hours time as the computer is busy with another project at the moment.

We will notify you when the new video has been uploaded and ready for viewing.

Thank you for your patience.  :flowers:

the freezing problem will also be fixed in the next few days - the problem is that Youtube is estimating your bandwidth too high and serving you a video quality that your bandwidth cannot handle. I need to do some programming to change the system so that you are able to adjust the quality of the video yourself.

I so enjoyed painting this.  I used Mi-Teintes, cannot decide if I like it or not for small work.  Loved the feel of my hand moving the pastel over the paper for the background.  The paper is very thin.  At the moment I tend to think the backside of the Arches coldpress is better.
Thank you Dennis and Nolan for fixing the replay.  It played very well, in fact, better than any other playback.

Jillh,

The canna is so well done, as is all of your work.  Your colors are so vivid.
