This is my good friend Janet cat Buffy. I would like to give it to her on Monday. Can I have comments to improve this color pencil drawing? Thank you Doina

Doina,
Your friend will be thrilled with this. Maybe darken the background behind the cat to make it show up better in the box?
Otherwise, it's so good.

Thank you Mea for your comments. I just want to add that where it looks like it needs some more darkening, indeed is the reflection of light. The background is pitch dark. I think I have to change camera, or learn to take better pictures.

Doina, Buffy is fantastic! How I miss my Sinbad. He was a sealpoint siamese. Just look at those eyes so full of distain! So typical of the siamese
I'm sure your friend will be over the moon! Well done.

Doina, nicely drawn. A little fadng from front to back and more shading on the cats body to make things look rounder and deeper and this will be a knockout.

well done Doina
Check on the photo to see if Buffy isn't maybe casting a shadow on the blanket, if not I would use my artists license add add one. It will add depth

Thank you everyone. I indeed added some more shading to the cat. It came out great. I gave Monday the drawing to my friend and she was ecstatic. She called me today and told me that she framed the drawing and is hanging in the living room

Doina,
So glad the cat was a hit. How could it not have been. You are such a thoughtful lady.

Great work Doina, I love the colour of the eyes and the expression on the face.
