Back from a week away to Chicago - always good to take a class to get those painting fingers back in shape! Here's my next attempt at the pastels - looking foreword to graduating to the pastel pencils - should be a lot cleaner...and I have to say I loved what Dennis said at the end of the class - that learning pastels (or any other medium) will make me a better painter in my preferred medium, which is watercolor...thanks, Dennis!
Cheers,
Sharon

Well done, Sharon      Just beef up the center of the large aloe. The large number of leaves will darken up the center where they connect. Some leaves don't seem to connect to the stem properly O0 Very soon you will be running like mad ;)

Thanks, Nina and Dennis - and here's the final version with a darker center. And I really appreciate your vote of confidence, Dennis. I'm in awe of the pastel paintings of my PB friends - it's amazing how good they've all become with just a few lessons from you...can't wait to be as good!
Cheers,
Sharon
