Vidar

Great job on the this painting.  Your depth in the foreground is so well done.  Dirt road looks so real.

The three mountains in the middle look like they should be painted the opposite way as the farthest one (left) should be less visible than the closer ones.  But,then, maybe you used your artistic license and put the first two in a haze.

The big tree in the background is grabbing for attention -- maybe because it looks like it is behind the dark mountain.

Yet, it still is one of the best of all the Three Hut pastel paintings I have seen.

Well done, Vidar    You are constantly improving. Just add some soft white to the sunny side of the huts to brighten them up. This will make the painting pop O0

Thank you Dennis for this class .Here is my attempted painting of the three huts.
I battled a little when applying the layers of pastel, its possible I applied too much of the pastel initially and as I went along it would not apply to well!!  Also I think the size of my painting was a bit tooo large  ;)

   Very nicely done Win and all the others.  I haven't been on this thread for quite some time, or so it feels and just looking through, you have all done very well.

Nicely done Win.      Just need to keep watch on the verticals, your huts are following the slope of the hills.

Thanks Val for your comment and advise re verticals I did notice that at the end when I stepped back,  they seemed ok until I put the grasses in :)   I kept finding problems and fidling, in the end I decided it was time to down tools before I drove myself nuts :idiot2:
