This is my attempt at the nose - actually it's my second attempt.  Tricky things noses!

Sally,

You achieved something that always alludes me - the roundness over the nostrils.  So smoothly shaded and blended.  My attempts look flat and forced.

Only concern is the misalignment off center with the eyes.  Or, could be someone who had a broken nose at one point and did not get it pushed back to center. (Happened to my husband once and he pushed it back in place all by himself!)

fabulous shading work. You have the lost and found lines established beautifully, well done. :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Mea, I suspect the angle you are referring to is due to the photo being taken from the side and not directly from the front O0

Thank you for all your comments. When I looked at the drawing the left eye as you look at the picture did look slightly off so I have reworked it.  See what you think.  I'm glad there's only one nose per portrait - they are difficult.

Sally you have definitely improved the eye socket shapes. I wouldn't worry over much at this point though. Your main focus is the nose.  O0   But I know what you mean.... I'm seldom happy if things look.... 'unbalanced'  ;)     Great job.

Sally,

Your nose was so good, I never noticed the eye sockets; but, yes, they look better now.

I don't know why you are worried about noses, you certainly don't have a problem drawing them O0 :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
