:thankyou:  so much Juan for your very sweet message.  I am still waiting to hear from the Intern at the Hospital for further tests. However, I am feeling so much better, thank you and yes, painting is very therapeutic and does help tremendously.

Denise, I am still going through tests ... everything here takes time. I have a stress test tomorrow and then I don't know what happens after that. However, praise God, I am feeling fine and so far everything seems O.K. Thanks for your thoughts which I appreciate.      Patricia

Here is my version of this class, learned a lot from this one, like not blowing on the pastel.... took a while to clean the black paper  :)  Thanks Dennis for a great class.

As always crits, comments and suggestions are most welcome

Cheers

:thankyou:  Gita for your kind message. Yes, I am fine now ... gosh, it was a year ago this month that I had the scare but so far so good.

Fi, your Pomegranates in a bowl is absolutely spectacular.  You have done a stunning job for sure.

Thank you all for your lovely comments  :) I really enjoyed this lesson - it forced me to work very, very neatly, which if you know me is virtually an impossibility!!

Val, I use mostly Schminke, Jaxell, Unison and Ashby pastels, but by far my favourite is a set my Mum gave me which she used when she was painting, these pastels are well over 50 years old and still soft and creamy, but I am using them up at an alarming rate! They are a set of Reeves Artist pastels and they no longer make them, which is a terrible shame as there are some cracking colours in the set. And I have a full set of Derwent pastel pencils for details etc which I prefer to any of the other brands.

Cheers
