Lovely painting, Selena
You must use the very minimum of water n the brush - must be just enough to blend the dust.

AHA!!!! That's the ticket....I must be the only person in history to be able to get caulies with pastel!
I'll have another go at this next time the pastels come out.

I can't find the templates for some of the lessons including this one - could someone point me in the right direction - I have found the pictures of the painting, body graph and pastel colour sheet etc but not the actual template

Well I enjoyed doing this one but I'm not happy with the result. Too many things which could be improved I think!
Never mind, I will try again another day

Carey,
Trying is winning. Good on you.
Other than the overzealous tree trunk, the rest of the painting looks good. Your girls are well done.
You are making good progress.

The tree is where it all went wrong lol. I fixed it as best I could but am still not happy with it.
However, I did think that my figures weren't too bad......and that was the point of the exercise lol

Carey,
If the figures were the focus of the lesson, you nailed it!!

Excellent apart from the tree trunk
Just tone it down and add some leaves over parts. The branches are much too think - they get very much thinner towards the tips

Dennis. I will try to fix the tree again but I have a feeling a brand new attempt might be easier

By all means do another one, but first try to fix this one - practice in fixing up any future drawings. Even professionals need to fix parts of their own paintings at times.

Carey...great job on your figures. If you can just 'tone down' your tree, it will be perfect. You are 'getting the hang' of the pastels....aren't they fun?
