Lovely Lynn. Nothing wrong with this painting.
Great scene Dennis. The internet died early this morning and only just came back on.
Oh well, the replay might be better for me anyway... then I can make you go MY speed!

Lynn, your paint a long is absolutely gorgeous. You can see who is an accomplished artist when comparing yours and mine. After seeing yours in the gallery, I was in two minds as to whether I should have the cheek to even post mine but then thought, what the heck, I am learning. Excellent job as per usual Lynn. Patricia

Patricia, we're all learning. I'm glad you posted it, Dennis can't help if he can't see it.
Something looks amiss with the roadway past the bridge. I haven't seen the original so I'm going by Lynn's painting.
Well done, good on you for giving it a go, it looks a more complex scene.

Patricia--
I think we did good just to finish. I thought this was a terribly complicated one. Don't feel bad, I CHEATED!!! I blocked in some colors on the grass and trees and sky with pastel and alcohol wash right before class because I absolutely can't keep up with Dennis. Even then, I could barely keep up!!! As for your path, it actually looks like how Dennis was painting it. I think it is all about the practice. Good for you Patricia for posting.

Patricia,
I am still learning that we can never compare our work against works by our fellow PB-ers. My challenge is ME. Is it could enough for me? If not, then I want to know what I can do better the next time.
Your stream pastel is good very good, actually, considering the time constraint you had. If you had done it leisurely, it would have been much better because YOU can do it.

Thank you Val, Mea and Lynnp for your encouragement. I lost the lines of the line drawing in several places and just had to guess where they were. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the lesson as I always do.
Nolan for putting up the replay so quickly. I need to re-do this lesson.

Hi all
I also got a bit lost along the way
Details
Lynn, I really like the variety of colours you managed to get in .... It was difficult not to let the greens win
Well done Patrica for keeping up, I'm going to have another go too:)

Anita,
I think you did very well on this stream pastel. I really like the light highlight on the stream.
Good work.

Anita, Lynne and Patricia well done with the keeping up! I like the soft colours and the contrasts you have all managed. I had too much top on my painting so I tried for a weeping willow but got a bit frustrated with my very limited colour choice
OOPs something happened to my image. I'll try again
