:) Oh yes, I forgot to mention, I did this lesson freehand. I know it's not a tough scene to draw but I'm wanting to practice drawing without using a template some of the time.  :)

Off to a great start, KathyS.  Pen and Ink is far too scary for me.  Brave girl!

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: Mea, Patricia, and Cyril. Your kind words and encouragement are so appreciated. This medium feels so good to me.  :yippee: I can hardly wait to draw the elephant.... But first I have a lovely lesson on water reflections in watercolor on my desk to paint  :painting:

I love art!  :smitten:

Excellent job Kathy! Only one thing ever so slightly off that I can see, the vertical on the front corner facing is just s bit off kilter. Fantastic job...and you didn't leave anything out!  O0

 :thankyou: Steve

Yes, Val. Now I see where it is slightly off kilter but I had to look hard for it.  :detective: Perspective is something I am still feeling a bit shy about.   :o  I sort of get it but it is a struggle.

Steve, I totally agree. So many lovely mediums to play with and not enough time. Also, I have so many art supplies for what I am already working on. But....  when I'm ready to spend more $$$ and time, pastels are calling out to me.  :D

 :thankyou: Dennis for these lessons
Here is my freehand drawing of the  house.
Mine is a bit different to Dennis as i stuffed up the strokes for the bushes under the big tree so changed them and my fence goes up hill, but hey everybody's block of land is different  :2funny:

So cute the little house, TeresaM.  It looks good enough for a storybook illustration - maybe for Little Red Riding Hood!

I am kicking myself that I did not start pen and ink sooner!   I LOVE it.

Here's the little cottage from Lesson 2 on Tonal Value.

I am more excited about this than anything I have done in art so far.  I know I have a lot to learn - maybe the perspective stuff will have more meaning for me now.

So much to learn; no time to waste.

Thanks, DENNIS!  That lesson was the best $9.00 I ever spent!!!
