Beautifully done again Judith, may i suggest that you make the sea horizon straight, it is going down a bit on the right side. You can use a ruler!   Just a though otherwise it is great.

:thankyou: Danielle I didn't notice the horizon not being straight  and now that you've pointed it out that is all I can see - so thanks again for pointing it out! I will attempt to touch that up!

Judy they are unmistakably dunes and look good.   You can improve it even more with some nice bright highlights on the face of the middle dunes. O0

Hello everyone,

Back again in pastels. I have seen all the paintings done in past months and they are really a piece of excellent work into it, congratulations all!!

Here is my rendition to those dunes in the morning. I had to use white watercolor paper though. Comments will be well received always.

Pura vida.

Juan Carlos

I like your sand dunes.  I think I might have made the ocean a bit darker, especially in the front.

Nice work.  Hard to find sand dunes like that anymore.  Too much erosion now.

:thankyou: Judy, Mea, Natalie and Sharon!! Great encouragement words. This one was particularly difficult since it was an imagination situation. I am costa rican but leaving in Chile reminded me that somewhere in the middle of this country we have also beautiful dunes with vegetation capping them.

Mea, you are right. The horizon went darker when I smudged the blue to cover it and looks like I overpressed the pastel and then the front was more softly added. I will try to blend a bit more that area. Thank you!!!

Lovely painting, Juan Carlos    I live by the sea and one day it will be light in colour and the next day much darker - even the colour can change within a short time.

This time I tried to paint on a A3 size paper, and it came out nicer I think....only problem where to store all these paintings in the house  :)
