It was all Dennis making this elephant appear... I just had to trust him that I could follow along and capture a good likeness.

:heeha: I have wanted to take this lesson and draw this  elephant since my first day on PB. I finally took the plunge and am so glad I did. Oh how I wish my mom was still alive to share this with her . She adored African elephants and has painted some beauties over the years.

I am planning to do this drawing a second time. There is so much to learn and I had a few areas that I would have liked to adjust but.... It's ink.  :-\. I went too dark on a couple of spots on the head which makes it look dented. I also think my cross hatching is too even in some areas. I'd also like to loosen up the brush area. Any and all insights are most welcome.

Kathy,

I admire you so much for trying pen and ink.  It seems so intimidating.

You did well on this.  So many little details.  Wow.

:heeha: Kathy, you are too hard with your yourself. According to my opinion your elephant looks absolutely professionally done.
