Lovely lake scene, Natalie.  Pastel sounds like a lot of work to me.

Great job, Natalie.  Your reflections are really good and I like the 'bright'....really makes the picture pop.  I see you straightened your water line on the left, too.  My template had it too crooked.
Love your pic, lady!

Good on you, Natalie for finishing the painting    I think you may want to check your white balance on the camera. You may also have taken this photo in a different type of lighting than the first one.

Add a few slightly sloping lines as I have done on the foreground (shore line). At the moment it looks like it is a vertical wall. Those lines will flatten the ground and add the slope towards the waters edge. O0

Thanks everyone-it's not that bright in person.  I flipped my easel so my window is behind me.  I guess that did it because I don't mess with settings on my camera.  Will do Dennis-I just need to scrape pastel dust off and they are under there.

Danielle-you did a picture perfect job-I admire your wooded area and your reflections are spot on!  :yippee:

Danielle,

You did a great job on the lake scene.   To me, the birds appear to be walking ON the water.  The water, by the way, is so beautiful - just gleaming.

Another of your fine pieces of work.
