Doina, Danielle, Nolan, Liz and Cyril for your lovely comments on my Eagle which encourages me so much.
Nolan, as I have said many times before, you are a FANTASTIC tutor and teach in a way that I can comprehend.
Liz, it is always best to start at the beginning for there are snippets of information which you miss if you don't and besides, the lessons are built on top of one another much like a brick wall, one missing brick and the wall falls down.
Looking forward to seeing your completed Eagle Doina which I am sure will be superb.

Just seen your eagle Patricia and I am bowled over by the likeness you have done in the shadow of our tutor, you do have an eye for capturing the realism of animals and now birds of prey, pastel and now pencil medium you have certainly mastered please keep it up you are an

So much Ray for all your ongoing encouragement which I appreciate immensely. It really gives me confidence which I lack. Thank you and bless you for that. Patricia

Doina great job!
Patricia yours will be a fledgling as soon as the dust settles, wonderful drawing!
Carol and Sally wonderful starts, can't wait to see the finished Eagles
BTW, Nolan your Eagle is Terrific, too
I am heading to North Carolina this week to spend the summer and taking many of the drawing classes print outs with me, just in case I don't get good internet, so I will be working on some of these birds and dogs drawings as well as WaterColors and maybe some Oils. Will be gone until Sept. Hope I can access the internet occassionally and touch base with you all, if not ... as the song says so beautifully... Sue for your nice comments. Hope you enjoy your Summer in North Carolina and that you will find the time to do a lot of artwork. We are looking forward to seeing what you are able to do while vacationing. Lucky girl!! Enjoy it, have fun and keep in touch.

Wow! I've enjoyed catching up on this thread of the Eagle. It's a great subject Nolan and, the image is striking.

Here is my rendition of the Eagle. For sure I have to buy a new camera! The drawing has more tonal values than it shown in the picture. Well, having to buy a new computer, and next I'll have to buy a new printer; camera will have to wait for next year. Or I may drop a suggestion to my son for later on my birthday

Lovely Doina. Nice feather work, and love that look in the eye. You've done really well capturing its character.

Nice drawing of the eagles, Doina. Like his eye - it gives him attitude.
