Thank you for a great lesson Dennis, I really enjoyed this one. I loved the idea of combining a few different photo's into a composition.
So here is my version of the Hay Bales - all drawn freehand like the Master
Still not sure about that odd post at the edge of the field, it looks more and more like a petrol/gas pump to me!

Great job on composing this.
Love how you showed the light shining through the clouds.
Fence post looks like it's got a solar light on top.

Solar powered hay bales .... thanks for that mental image Mea, it's made me giggle a bit and definitely appeals to my twisted sense of humour

You have lost some of the darker contrasts which would give your painting much more punch. Even so a lovely painting

I had another look at this one and agree with you Dennis - I need more darks, so I have added them in and it looks so much better now
