This one was challenging and I'm starting to think that curved lines are harder to paint then straight ones are.I seem to have trouble with both of them at times.

You have done a superb job with this painting Nancy :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
It is just the rim of the cup that is not smooth on the bottom left (between 6 and 9 o'clock), just round that straight line you have there to complete the oval O0

beautiful work Sherri :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
you can still add more contrast to the outside of the cup to show up the rounding more O0

No not on this one.  I used some cheap acrylics that I bought at WalMart.  Hated them and now have interactive paints.  Used them on the Sunset Painting.

Sherri,

Yes, more shading as Nolan suggested and this will be a perfect cup of espresso.

Nice work.  Love how you have the coffee stain on the inside of the cup.  Looks so real.

I think it looks pretty darn good, JayJ.

The coffee looks so real - especially where it clings to the side of the cup.

Should there be a darker shadow under the cup and maybe partially up the side?  The one under the saucer is nicely done.  (I'm really trying to learn shadows!)
