Thanks JayJ. . . your confidence in me has me all geared up to tackle the cup of espresso, right away!
I have been thinking of joining the acrylic club. . . .$9. a month sounds like the deal of the season. Do you belong?
I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

Hi All,

Rending my first attempt on the Cafe Espresso. Had a problem with the dish's shadow and looks like that the coffee's inner shadow has a brighter line, but in an overall I'm pretty happy and felt much more confident this time with the acrylics. Please comments well aprecciated.

Cheers

Looks great to me Juan Carlos :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
The lighter ring where the coffee meets the cup is correct - it is called the meniscus - the fluid curls up against the side of the cup due to water tension so reflects the light differently from the rest of the fluid O0

:thankyou: Danielle, I always embrace your kind words of encouragement. And I also have to say excellent jobs Sherry, Louisa and Jay, for those warming cups of coffee.

Nolan, I really appreciate your comments and physical explanation about the ring; I definitely will continue practicing on acrylics.

Cheers

Juan Carlos,

Love the frothiness of the espresso on the inside of the cup.

Great work!

One concern - should the fluid be that much lower on the right side of the cup?

:thankyou:Natalie, Val and Zyan for your lovely comments.

Mea, I always love your comments, such an observer. You're right, but I think it is a matter of perspective, and though I tried to equalized both levels, it seems that the balance of the table, it's a little bit twisted!!!

Cheers.
