Beautiful cup of espresso and love your background, Steve!  :painting: :)

Thanks, Cheryl. The background was the easiest part. Just slapping on the paint with a pastry brush. There are actually three lagers. One is the lighter color, then a glaze and finally the darker color.

you are doing a great job Steve, just keep at it.  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: It's like you say - with each painting you get more control over the medium. O0

What you do want to look out for with artworks like this is getting the ovals nice and symmetrical O0

Thanks, Nolan.

Part of my problem had to do with the liquid frisked destroying my underlying drawing. And I had discarded my template, so trying to fix things freehand didn't work out too well.

Lessons learned: 1.) Try using brisket film when covering a drawing and 2.), never, ever throw out the template until the painting is finished.

I found this exercise much more demanding. I couldn't get the colour the same as the demo but the main thing is I finished it. Will try it again when I receive my ordered paints.
Your thoughts and critique are welcome.

I agree that you have done a fantastic job :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Getting the same colours isn't important with a painting like this - your cup was made by a different manufacturer than mine ;)

The effect is the important thing and you have it! O0
