This is from a photo I took quite a while ago, the background was far too complicated so decided to just single it out and used to colours mingled together to try and show off the flower.
30¨ x 20¨ or 50.8cm x 76.2cm Mi Teintes Touch paper, Unison, Schminke, and Terry Ludwig pastels.

Thanks so much Elizabeth. I really enjoyed browsing through some of your paintings. You are really doing well.
Just making up a few smaller boards in hope that I will one day be able to complete at least one painting in less than a month!
Oh Val....you are a dreamer!!!

So pleased you enjoyed the sunflowers Elizabeth. I really am going to downsize for a bit, really go through the pastels quite quickly on these big ones. Not having a supply here as yet makes it very expensive having supplies shipped in.
Ta ever so much Dennis. I had looked back at the w/c class and was quite leery about layering and blending, which as it turns out was actually easier in w/c!
I just went with a couple of the base colours and hoped for the best. I shall have to try another one later.
Thank you Gita, the few people that have actually seen it love the colours... but... the sunflowers are still the favoured thus far. There´s the challenge, to supersede the sunflowers!
Thanks much Marylou, I am getting back to dedication more time to artwork. I did a short climb on the mountain last week to scout out some good vantage points for sketching and painting. I´m not venturing too far at this point as the forests are extremely dry until the rainy season gets on in earnest. Lovely none the less, and my partner in ´peril´ Ziggy seems to really enjoy all the tramping about!

Well, almost finished my newest attempt. It is a bit smaller, 16¨x 24¨ on Unison 400 Black paper.
It is the larger version of the bridge I´ve been promising myself I would do. Coming soon.

Thanks Nolan, always the sweetie!
This next posting coming up just now is a bit unnerving for me. Can´t make up my mind about it.
Had a very difficult time getting a decent snap, the colours are not quite right but it´s the best I could manage. 22 1/4 x 17 1/4¨ , Uart 400 paper, Unison, Shminke pastels.
Ok MaryLou... here it is
