Excellent painting, Fiona    I'm just missing the darks in your painting. You have them very nicely in your other paintings. This painting had too much of an even tone. Adding the darks, especially the area behind the bridge, will really make this one pop. Where you have the brightest light you also have the darkest shadow. All paintings should have the play of the light against the dark O0

Love bridge work, Fi.  You make pastels sing!

Fiona your bridge is fabulous!  Here is mine.  Found the reflections and rocks etc on left to be a bit of a challenge.  However I thoroughly enjoyed painting this.  It's nice to be caught up with the pastel classes again.  I have so little time fir my art at the moment.  It really is very frustrating.

Thank you Jill   :) Your bridge is also fabulous!

Those rocks on the left were a bit of a challenge for me as well. So glad you are enjoying your pastel work - it's a wonderful medium to work in, I love the immediacy of putting colour straight down and seeing what happens   ;D

Jillh,

We've missed you lately.  Good to see you again.

Nice work on the bridge pastel.  It has almost a surreal look to it.
