An incredible painting, Fiona.  It's wonderful, and tells such a tremendous story. Will certainly bring 'good' memories, and it is an awesome painting.

   Fantastic Fiona.  Isn't it amazing that one can never get "Africa" out of their system? I was born in SA and when I see pictures/paintings of it, it takes me back to my roots too, a sentimental trip down memory lane for what was and like you say, about a thousand years ago.   :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and very useful suggestions, it has made all the difference to the painting   :)

And it seems that there are a few of us "Born in Africa" people here - it is a country that certainly gets under your skin!  There's nothing like walking barefoot on the red African soil and smelling the heat in the air!!

I will be going back there for a holiday later on in the year - I'm off to the Kruger National Park, so I'm hoping to get some great pictures to use as references for painting  :D
The EARTH without ART is just "EH"
