The important thing to remember is contrast - if you are going to paint light clouds you need to make the sky darker. If you want to paint dark clouds, you make the sky lighter.

I feel your pain. For the longest time I was afraid of clouds myself. There are still many things I am afraid of which I am working on. You just got to keep pluging away until you get it right O0
