I was nervous to try this parrot. Just couldnt get the ruffled head feathers looking properly ruffled and they came out looking very amateurish and a much to overworked and linear. Its not a great parrot attempt but was glad I gave it a bash. As always thanks Dennis and Nolan.

Trev;  Nice work on the parrot. Feathers are not easy.  The more birds you paint the better you will get. Kathy

Trev,

Hey, not bad at all.  Beautiful colors.  Nice background.  Love the beak and eye.

    Good try Trev, I understand about your nervousness and really, there is no need to be for we have all been through it.  If it is any consolation, it gets easier as time goes on and besides, you did a good job.

You've done very well on the parrot Trev.  O0   Having been able to study these birds quite closely, the ruffled head feathers are actually quite good. It is the darks and lights that really make the effect, and it is difficult to avoid that 'soldiers in a row' look.
Good on you for having a go, job well done.
