Gee, ladies....some awesome castles!  Everyone did such a super job, and I love the injection of each author into their paintings.. Congrats Pat, Denise and Ilinca,   :deal: O0

Not thinking much on this one at all....I know just what it needs.....  :attacked:       :2funny:

I finally called it yesterday evening as couldn't tell one shading from the next!

I'll have another go at this after I get my new lookers tomorrow, then I'll hopefully be able to see what I'm about!              ;D

Here ya go.....

Cheers, Val

woo hoo, Val - you finished a painting - so proud of you!  Love the colors in your sky - very majestic! I'd tone down the color of the dirt - seems a bit dark, than add the shadows between the dirt and the grass for that 3D effect.  Need a bit more sunlight on grass and vineyards.  I think your castle is great as is!
Cheers,
Sharon

Sharon, I'm glad you think the castle looks ok....I can't tell where or what I shaded!   ;D    Ended up I couldn't tell a bush from the grass! I'll see if it's all fixable and finish putting the missing colours in then. I'm quite excited about these new lookers coming.... but     might be in for a shock when I get a good look at what I've done!  :eyesclosed:

All great fun  :yippee:     :2funny:
Cheers, Val

   Hello Mr. D.!!! You snuck in there while I was busy typing!  ;)   I guess the best bit is it didn't take a month to do!  ;D

I think I actually did much better on the tiger with the pastels...not as many colours/mixing, and bigger contrasts.  Will have to keep that in mind for my next painting. Keep it simple.  O0

Really looking forward to the next class, I have many scenes with mist rising from the water and rising from the jungle... exciting!!  :yippee: :heeha:

Val, great job on your castle.  It's lovely....you did a number one job!   :flowers:

(This one of mine ended in the 'basket' along with the other one.)  I'll try on larger paper this time. Boy, I'm sure gathering quite a bundle of 'test paper'.  :2funny:

Thanks all for your lovely, lovely comments. Now I'll have to get brave today and have a good look at it.    These new lookers are pretty amazing so far...other than I look like a mad fiend hunched over the computer! Have to be somewhat closer, but wow...I can see the colours quite well!  :heeha: :yippee:
