Hi all,
Did anybody create a mixing formula for each color? Well, our most common colors anyway.  :)
For instance, how do you make burnt umber for watercolors?
If there's a link, please point me to it.
 :thankyou:

Rick go to Watercolor classes and find color mixing. Now that will show you how to mix colors to get what you want. See if that helps.

Nina's right, Rick. If you follow the WC courses each lesson Dennis demonstrates lots of color mixing. It's amazing what he teaches us to create with such a limited palette.
Cheers,
Sharon

Just to add on what the ladies have said. You should create a colour wheel with the colours and brands you have on hand as there will be some differences between brands, that will be you main reference  ;)

As the ladies say...
The colour wheel doesn't change because you use another medium; just try what your own wc's do.

It is me again.  :2funny: go to the free watercolor class. Cosmos this is the introduction to watercolor. The reason I am telling you this is because I too was an acrylic painter and I knew nothing about watercolor. So I started at the beginning. Which I am glad I did. I don't even have a  desire to paint with acrylics. But hope someday I will.
