looking great Maryna

Add a few more whiter ripples on the water as well, it is a touch too calm O0

and a seagull sitting on the boat would really round this one off nicely O0

if you watch the sand dunes in oil class, you will see how I paint a seagull - it is super easy O0

Continuing my oil lessons with this one - it was fun to do...I love the background, my clouds and the boat.  I kept messing up my sand and now it's a bit too dark...although I'm sure there are reddish sand beaches somewhere in the world!! I'm sure there are things I could do to improve this so please let me know. Thanks for another challenging class, Nolan!
Cheers,
Sharon

Well done Sharon you’re really rattling through these lessons the sand looks fine to me. When I did this I added a few seagulls on the beach and I know you love painting seagulls so there’s a challenge for you ha

:thankyou: Neil and Dennis!! And I’ve been to black sandy beaches in Hawaii and panama - pretty awesome to see!! And I have admired your seagulls, Neil - but am a bird coward in oils still!!!
Cheers,
Sharon

I think this is so pretty Sharon.  I see nothing wrong with the sand.  Here in New Jersey our sand ranges from fine, white sugar sand to coarse dark rocky sand.  Well done!

Sharon

Your painting looks fabulous Sharon, well done  :congrats:
I am just seeing a halo around the shadow cast by the boat. Bring the sand colour up to the shadow and then quick fade it into the shaow colour to avoid and sharp edges O0

    Sharon, I too, think you are doing so well with oils and I am sure that they will be your medium of preference in the future. Your boat on the beach is very well painted and there is no doubt about it, but oils have a special charm about them.

Sharon: I am trying to catch up on being missing from  PB for awhile, so have not seen all your oil painting lessons yet, but I am very impressed with seeing how well you are doing. Well done  :yippee:
