I thought I would try to do the scratchboard cat. Here it is.  When using the exato knife it riped my paper  and I was not pressing very hard.

Wow, Danielle, the cat is awesome!

Hi Larry,
:bigwelcome: to PB.  We learn and have a lot of fun... I think the Canadians are getting very visible on BP.

Have you seen Danielle water colours?
Cheers, Annie

Wow, great scratching!  Yes, this is a great way to spend leisure time.

Hope to see more of your work on a regular basis.

:thankyou: Val & Mea found i was a bit over cautious to start with just took a little time to get used

the tools and pressure to use
The eyes on the owl were daunting as they were nearly the last part to do and i had never drawn eyes
before so was bit nervous still think i can make them better they just not right im waiting on correction ink from ampersand
before i tinker with them,Nolan makes it look so simple man is a genious.

The ampersand boards are fabulous. I really liked them. Unfortunately the only thing I could get before my trip back a few years ago was some scratch-paper. Very thin, didn't like it so hung up my scratching for a while. I still intend to have another go once I can get more of the ampersand boards.
Any mistakes I had to touch up, I just used permanent black india ink. Worked fine. Nolan used a black Sharpie marker.

You did a great job on the eyes. I did a whole board with nothing but eyes for practice... very eerie looking!  :eyesclosed:     :2funny:

Thanks Robbie, when I was in the eastern Caribbean (Grenada) I had all my paints and sundry shipped from either Jacksons or Bromley. Both great and shipping was not prohibitive. (better pricing than US on all fronts). Having anything sent in to Guatemala is prohibitively expensive as must be done by a 'selective' courier as no mail service in Guatemala.  Will be interesting to see what prices are like in Mexico.

Looking forward to seeing your dog portrait.
