Natalie and Fiona your roses are gorgeous. I must really try and get down to painting the flowers in the course but life has been pretty hectic for me over the last couple of months.

Thank you all for your lovely comments
On to the Anthitiums next.
I have really enjoyed this course, it's taken me out of my comfort zone and forced me to do things in a more methodical and precise way, and taught me a whole series of new skills which I can use. Not only on watercolour but on other media too. Thank you Dennis - more of the same please
Cheers

This is my submission with the rose painting. Thank you Dennis for an interesting class. I struggled somewhat with the leaves. Comments and critiques are welcomed and warmly received. Thank you. Patricia

Lovely rose, Patricia. Advanced flowers are challenging, aren't they!
One eye grabber is the red rimmed petal at the top, just to the left of center. Might want to see if you can tone it down a bit.
Otherwise, get that frame ready.

So much Mea for your comments and critique. I had so much trouble with that leaf, I almost rubbed a hole through the paper but I will try and tone it down a bit. I really appreciate your help for sometimes one can't see their own mistakes and it is wonderful to have someone point them out. So a BIG thank you Mea.

Patricia, the softness of the petals is breathtaking. Beautifully done.
