Nicely done Fi. I like the colourings in the flowers, I agree with Mea the white (shiny) bits are a bit too wide, a bit of variation there will fix that right up. I would like to see a few more deeper darks in the shaded areas to add a bit more dimension.
Cheers, Val

Very nice Fiona, and I do agree with Natalie, Val and Mea,  also do put a shadow to the bottom left leave to separate it from the flower.

Thank you ladies for your comments  :)

I have taken your advice and darkened some of the tones, added a few shadows played around with the "shiny" stripes (to the point where I can nearly see through the paper).  I'm still not totally happy with this one and will redo it sometime using a smoother paper I think.

A big improvement, Fiona! You've done a good job...I bet if you redid this it would be even better now that you understand the techniques..I know I want to redo a couple of these myself just to keep improving.
Cheers,
Sharon

This is the final painting in the course, and  I must say the most challenging.  I worked on this for two days, wow, but I am glad that I stuck with it.  At one point it looked like a failed painting.  Your comments on and critiques are welcome!
