Thank you all for the  nice comments.

My friend just called to say that anthuriums would be the perfect drawing as there is a cute story in their family about how the grandmother always called them, "Little Boy Flowers."

So now I have that much narrowed down.  Just need to find a good reference photo or buy an anthurium plant.  Checked PMP - nothing there that I can use.   Anyone have a good one?

Here's one I drew last summer - want to make it better than this.

Yup, famous! Congratulations Mea  :congrats:

Have you decided on the red anthuriums or the big obake ones?

Thanks.

Definitely not red ones, Denise - maybe pink.  Obake ones I have seen look too Christmassy.

May looks around at garden shops tomorrow.

Thanks, Jennylynn.  I have to do a good job, though.  I'll post as I go along.

Thanks, Val.  Appreciate it

I've got one possible but it looks too busy.

Will have my camera with me today and try to find  one "in the wild."

No luck on my end I'm afraid. Must be on one of the old drives on the boat. Man have I got to do some sorting when I get back!  :faint:

Thanks, anyway, Val.  Good thing anthuriums are easy to find here.  I'll look around today.
