Thank you Dennis, Danielle and Val  :)  I have gotten over my fit of pique and have had another look at this one and I think I like it  -  and the cat has been banned from the studio for the moment!  She isn't too happy about it but that's life  :) I might let her in soon though - I can't take the shouting!!  :2funny:

I'm glad you didn't  :hang: the cat!    I understand the issues of 'helping' cats, I've had my share....  :eyesclosed:      ;D

Hi All,

It's been a long time since the last post over this lesson. This one was really hard and took me about 3 days to do it. But very insightful!! The rock tones were the most difficult to achieved with some minor changes. Had problems with the farthest mountains and glad that Dennis came up with the clouded-sky idea  O0. Please let me know of any improvement I should make since I want to gift this one for some friends that recently moved in.

Other than that, great lesson. The painting area is 34x50 cm over Strathmore paper.

Cheers

Juan Carlos,

So good to see your work again.

The sentinel is lovely.  Such a lonely tree but you made him stand proud.

That clump of rocks at the top right looks so well done, like it's the only part of the painting that is out of the mist.  Thant happened to me once when I got to the top of a mountain and the spot where e were standing was the only spot in the sunshine.

:thankyou: Patricia, Mea and Danielle.  It was really fun to do this one. Lots of greys to use and reflections over them. You can sort of look these scenes around here too. A lot of moist coming from the ocean and got trapped among the rocky hills.

Thank you again Dennis for your kind and encouragement words and for a great class.

Cheers

Dear Val and Lin,

Apologies for not thanking you earlier.

Val, you are always such a lovely encourage person. Like the monkey white-faced on your shoulder. We saw a lot of those playing around during our last vacations.

Cheers

No worries Juan.  O0

I miss my little companion, he would visit with me every morning on the boat.
