Thank you to all (so many!) who commented on the news article about my drawings of the bus riders. Do note that I do the backs of heads - I'm not a good enough artist (YET!) to do the faces.
It's been a fun way to make the long ride more enjoyable.
Wish you were all here to ride the bus with me!

Thanks, Danielle. Yes, MaryAnne is my name, but I have grown so fond of my art "alias" that I don't plan on changing it.
Thanks, Jennylynn, Tania, and Jill.
I really appreciate all the congratulatory comments so many of you have sent about this article.

I knew it would benefit for your art to practice even the back of the head of your bus riders. One thing I am sure: you do not sit in the front row.
And drawing a lot help when come the time to prepare your painting.
Bravo from the north pole or almost.

Definitely I'm not sitting in the front row, Josh. More fun to sit far back and catch all the goings-on.

Great stuff Mea and I too, am sitting with a huge smile on my face. I think it is hilarious and can imagine you rushing to the back of the bus to get the best seat for your drawings!!! So comical. Anyway, it is fantastic that you are being given recognition for your art. Patricia

Thanks, Patricia. I am trying to find my niche - not sure it's drawing heads from the back of the bus, though.

MAL, what a reputation you going get- "dat lady going paint yo head from da back, so no sit in front her unless you like yo pitcha go in the paypah!"
MaryAnne, so happy with your fame!
Sure would be interesting to guess what the heads look like in the FRONT, but I don't think you want to sit backwards.
P.S. Email the Mid-Week story to me, too!
