I painted this tonight while watching the snow pile up. It is supposed to look like stained glass. I must find my elusive patience.

Carol,

I like this, but I think there may be too many petals that have outlines around them.

I like your colors and the semi-abstract style.  Pretty soon you will be joining the "looser" club with Val and me.

I love rhodies, so this made me smile tonight.

I find that taking a pen and ink or pencil class helps me with getting some patience back!

Your impatience is paying off - this is so enjoyable to look at! And stay safe during this blizzard. I'm watching it on TV and realize I can't complain about our 45 degree mornings here!
Cheers,
Sharon

Carol--I really like this.  Noticed it immediately in the gallery.   It DOES look like stain glass and I love the abstract quality of it.

:heeha: Love this Carol. It does indeed have the look of stained glass. I saw a painting of a stained glass window a few years back and the image has stayed with me. It was beyond description. One of the things I remember was the 'lead' between the pieces had been painted in a pewter grey colour and a darker colour layered over it in various places which indicated the raised lead with crevices and shadows.
I would think the same effect could be created by painting in the lead and using ink for the darker areas..... Must try this some time.  ::)

Wonderful painting.  O0

Val, thanks for the great ideal. I may try that on this one.
