Here's my version of the rocks.  My vision is not great copying and drawing from a template!  But the video instruction was great and I learned a lot!

Thanks, Robin! FYI I put some nice rock photos/landscape photos in FREE REFERENCE PHOTOS May 23, 2014.  Those are the kind of rocks we have here, esp. In mountain streams that I want to paint one day. . .

Hope you are having fun with the drawing course.

Thank you for mentioning the photos ref.  I missed them as they were posted before I join PB.  They are very nice.

Great job, Liz.  Glad you drew your own instead of using the template.  You are so adventurous.  I like the little stones in the crevices.

:thankyou: ANNIE, MEA, VAL, & NOLAN for your encouragement!  I think I have a general idea how to do rocks, now!  But painting them is a whole new ball game! (Tough)

Drawing mugs and trying to figure out how to do hatching.  The second one is 'live' drawing from my granite kitchen counter with window light from the back, thus a shadow attempt.

looks great, well done Liz. Drawing with the light from the back is not always easy

Just the ovals on the second drawing are not correct - the top oval needs to be shallower than the bottom oval O0

:thankyou: NOLAN!  This mug has kinda like a lip on the top; I'll redraw it shorter and take it down somewhat so it won't look so flared out.

only redraw it if you want to, the important thing is that you have learned how to cross hatch O0

Good work, Liz.  My, you are adventurous to draw the cup of coffee from scratch.
