Nice work on the deer, Louisa.  I think the eye is just a bit too large and the front left leg needs to be a bit lighter as it seems to be competing with the back front leg.

Otherwise it looks really well done - nice contrast on the middle trees.

Mine is going to need a lot more work to look as good as this one.

Thanks Mea, I'm giggling now, the poor dear looks like it's got three legs on the one side. I better fix it.

Yup, Louisa, fix it quick before he falls over.  Seriously, you did a good job on this.

;D what's that song about the three legs...

Great job Louisa :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I agree that the eye is a tad too large, I know it is not so easy to do the eye as it is so small, but just push it back with the face colour O0

;D That was my thought as well... poor fellow, no wonder he looks so wide-eyed!  :2funny:

Other than that, it looks very nicely done.  O0

My deer.  I did my own colours as when I painted yours Nolan, found they were too light.  SA colours probably diluted down!!

Had trouble again with the grass, just cant seem to get it realistic.

I think you did a great job!
It is a shame you can't get your colors any darker.

:heeha: Fantastic Fiona. Love the colourings you have achieved on the deer and background. Beautiful.  O0

Perhaps some random flicks in varying values would finish off the grasses? Take a look at Louisa's, she has done a great job on the grasses. Won't take much to fix this up.  O0

You have done a great job Fiona :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
To get the grass right, you need contrast. In other words first lay down a dark colour, then paint the light grasses over it O0

Ms. Fig and Louisa,

You ladies did a good job on the deer.  I still have not finished mine.

I want to try Nolan's suggestion on the grasses.
