Banner job Sharon, the bust stands out nicely from the background. Only thing I see missing is that touch of glow on the side of the face.

Wow - thank you Dennis, Patricia, Val and Robin - I'm floating on cloud 9 after reading your comments!! Val - I'll add a little glow to the cheeks - an easy fix. And Dennis - it was a great lesson in portrait painting, too - not just the use of tonal ranges. Brilliant subject choice!
Cheers,
Sharon

   Well, couldn't stand not trying to paint with so many incredibly fantastic paintings appearing! So got out the paints, buckets, and brushes this afternoon. This is as far as I could get, my arm and hand became so cramped I had to stop. Certainly not one of my best  ::) but still a long way to go so we'll see.

Cheers, Val

Thanks Retta and Christina.

Val, your statue is coming along nicely.  This will be great when you are done. I can't wait to see it.!
