Well, it seems the votes are in... looks like I'll be continuing with the 'Lloyd' version! Man, tough crowd here... I don't even have a photo to work from. Memory don't fail me now!  ???    ;D

It's been almost a year since any replies on this thread. Very nice work everyone! Val, I wonder how your piece is coming along  ;).....

I'll be working on this soon but does anyone know who this bust is? Did Dennis mention? Thanks.

Denise, No idea who it is. The photo was taken from morguefile.

 Funny you should mention this one Denise, at present my white swan I am working on is taped onto the back of that watercolour pad! It got packed away when we were doing some work on the boat last year and (naughty me) forgotten.  I think once finished with the swan I shall make this my priority UFO. About time I should think  ;)
Thanks Denise  :flowers:

Thank you for the reply Dennis :)

Val, looking forward to your completed swan AND bust. Funny also that I planned to do the swan in wc after the bust lesson...happy painting!

:2funny:   Well, I do have my watercolours out now!  Started painting impressionistic lily ponds! It's heavy overcast today....so perhaps I'll dig him out and figure out what colours I used. Perhaps today will be the day!  ::) :2funny:

Great job Denise, your painting looks much more like the statue....  :detective: well...perhaps just a little Lloyd about the eyes...

Denise,

Nice job.  I like his chiseled look.

Maybe blend out those very dark lines along the hair line.

Yes Denise, he's out! If I remember rightly, I was out of Ult. Blue, and pretty sure I was using Payne's Grey. A few colour splotches should answer that for me.

Here we go!   :painting:
